LA Political Action For Candidate Election (PACE) Committee

About & Mission Statement

The NASW Louisiana Chapter’s Political Action for Candidate Election (PACE) is the political action arm of our Chapter. PACE is a nonpartisan committee dedicated to endorsing and financially supporting candidates from all parties who align with the core values and principles of the social work profession. Our mission is to promote political education, encourage participation in the electoral process, and advocate for policies that advance the needs of our profession and the individuals we serve.


Committee Action & Purpose

  • Promote NASW legislative policies by helping to elect and retain in office state public officials and candidates who support the goals and objectives of the social work profession and the needs of those who are served by the social work profession in the state of Louisiana. 
  • Promote political education and full participation in the electoral process among members of the social work profession. 
  • Take such other and further action as may be necessary to accomplish the foregoing.
