LA25RM_12: "NASW-LA Baton Rouge Region Sponsored Workshop" FREE for Members. Topic: Autism Acceptance in Action: Transforming Support in Care and Community.   Presented by:  Heather Poirrier, LCSW.  By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to: 1. Identify key differences between deficit-based models of autism support and neurodiversity-affirming approaches.   2. Recognize systemic barriers that limit access to behavioral health services and community support for autistic individuals.   3. Apply strategies to create more inclusive, affirming care environments for autistic individuals, particularly those with higher support needs.   4. Understand the role of policymakers, providers, and community members in advancing autism acceptance beyond awareness.  1.00 General hour.  Pre-registration is required to be awarded CEU credit.
