LA27RM_165: "NASW-LA New Orleans Region Sponsored Workshop" FREE for Members. Topic:  Improving Care for LGBTQ+ Older Adults.  Presented by: Jim Meadows, LMSW.  Upon completion of this course, clinicians will: 1) Have an increased knowledge of the health and social disparities of LGBTQ+ clients.  2) Have a better understanding of the unique issues and needs of LGBTQ+ older adults.  3) Have greater knowledge of the resources available to LGBTQ+ adults.  4) Be better prepared to create a welcoming environment for clients who identify as LGBTQ+.  5) Be better prepared to advocate for their LGBTQ+ clients.  2.00 General CEU hours.  Pre-registration is required to be awarded CEU credit.
