Define trauma-informed care and how it applies to social work practice.  2. Identify different communication techniques that can promote safety.  3. Demonstrate grounding, validation, and de-escalation techniques that can be applied by helping professionals.  4. Recognize different trauma responses that can happen during interactions with client engagement.  1.00 General CEU hour.  Pre-registration is required to be awarded CEU credit.
