NASW is partnering with a broad coalition of organizations on the “One Big Bill” campaign, which is collecting stories from social workers and other borrowers affected by recent changes to the federal student loan system. Borrowers are encouraged to share their experiences, including updated monthly loan payments and how rising costs are affecting their households and financial stability. By sharing these stories, social workers can help put real experiences behind the numbers and give policymakers a clearer picture of how student loan changes are affecting individuals, families, and communities. NASW will continue advocating for policies that provide meaningful student loan relief and support programs such as Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
