254100_019: "NASW-LA Baton Rouge Region Sponsored Workshop" FREE for Members. Topic:  Navigating Shades of Grey: 211 Services and Resources.  Presented by: Ebony Nolan-Richardson, MSW, RSW.  This workshop will:  1. Foster Professional Collaboration: Engage in meaningful dialogue with fellow social work professionals to exchange insights, strategies, and best practices aimed at enhancing community well-being and advocating for social justice.  2. Support Vulnerable Populations: Develop skills to provide effective services and resources to community members who are unable to access them independently, emphasizing empowerment and support.  3. Understand and Address ALICE Populations: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) population, including the challenges they face and strategies to improve their economic stability.  4. Explore Social Determinants of Health: Analyze the impact of social determinants on individuals' well-being, particularly those below the federal poverty line, to better inform community-driven initiatives.  5. Community Support Resources: Learn to utilize and promote resources such as the 211 service to connect individuals with essential services, addressing basic needs through community support and outreach initiatives. 1.00 General hour.  Pre-registration is required to be awarded CEU credit.
